Another Album Card Mystery
Not knowing something gnaws at me. I search everywhere for clues and to try and gain additional understanding until I have figured it out.
This “set” of 12 cards (may be an assortment from several sets), was in a Prang Card Album but was not his work. There were also some large format album cards (cabinet photo size) but we’ll get to that topic another day.
The work on these cards is very advanced in terms of the colors and how “full” the cards are in terms of ink. These are not sketches with some color blotches, these are full chromolithographs.
As with other album cards, they are blank backed and CDV (2.5 x 4) size. I say assortment because Prang and others offered assorted cards in envelopes once they had published and accumulated inventory. There appears to be about 1/2 leaves and some flowers and some decorations (the cross and anchor).
I have no clue or lead on these. Just another thing to gnaw at me as I’m searching archives and the internet for information.
Here are all the cards since it’s not possible to really write a checklist:

I hope to have updates at some point, and hopefully some of you will provide assistance.
